Sulphadimethoxine
CAS No:
CAS:122-11-2
Molecular formula: C12H14N4O4S
Molecular weight: 310.33
EINECS:204-523-7
Purpose:
The antibacterial effect and clinical efficacy are similar to SD. Oral administration absorbs quickly but excretes slowly, with a long duration of action and low acetylation rate in the body, making it less likely to cause damage to the urinary tract.
In addition to broad-spectrum antibacterial effects, this product also has significant anti coccidiosis and anti Toxoplasma effects.
It is mainly used for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis in calves, chickens, and rabbits, as well as for the prevention and treatment of infectious rhinitis in chickens, avian cholera, Klebsiella pneumoniae infection, Toxoplasma gondii infection in pigs and dogs (often combined with ethambutol), and Nocardia infection in dogs and cats. It can also be used for the prevention and treatment of bacterial gill rot, vertical scale disease, fish vibriosis, eel red fin disease, and carp furuncle disease.
