Functional silanes
The upstream industry of functional silane is mainly ethanol, propylene chloride, allyl glycidyl ether, metallic silane powder and other chemical industries. Due to the high proportion of raw materials in the cost of functional silane products, the functional silane industry has a strong correlation with the above industries. Production of functional silane products procurement main raw materials propylene chloride and allyl glycidyl ether are the downstream products of petroleum derivative propylene, whose product prices have a strong correlation with crude oil prices.
Functional silane is widely used in industrial products with high technical content, such as the processing and production of rubber, composite materials, plastics, adhesives and other industrial products. The consumption of rubber processing accounts for 33.9%, which is the largest demand market for functional silane.
Silane coupling agent is a kind of organosilicone compound containing two different chemical properties in the molecule to improve the actual bonding strength of polymer and inorganic substance. This may refer to improvements in true adhesion, as well as improvements in wettability, rheology, and other operational properties. The coupling agent may also modify the interface region to enhance the boundary layer between organic and inorganic phases.
Therefore, silane coupling agent is widely used in adhesives, coatings and ink, rubber, casting, glass fiber, cable, textile, plastics, fillers, surface treatment and other industries.
Silane crosslinking agent refers to silane containing two or more silicon functional groups, which can act as a bridge between linear molecules, so as to make multiple linear molecules or mild branched-chain macromolecules and polymers cross-link each other into a three-dimensional network structure, promoting or mediating the formation of covalent or ionic bonds between polymer molecular chains.
Silane crosslinker is used in water-based pressure sensitive adhesive, water-based acrylic adhesive, paint, leather finishing agent, etc.
Simply put, a crosslinking agent is a combination of the same things; A coupling agent is something that connects different things together.
